Maiya

Thank you to everyone who has emailed up about Maiya. She has found a wonderful home where she is getting the love and attention that she deserves. Pictures and more information of Maiya's new home will follow shortly. Below you can read about Maiya's history.

Maiya was found at a church. The pasteur of the church brought her to the local veterinarians office to get cleaned up and possibly find her a home. She was going to be euthanised since they could not find her a home, so a good samaritain offered to find her a foster home until she could find a permanent home.

She is currently in foster care with us. Maiya spends her days with to other adopted dogs so that she is properly socialized. She is going thru an obedience training program at the moment, so that she will be ready for her new home.

Maiya is crate trained and potty trained. She is a very smart dog and learns very quickly. At the moment she can sit, down, stay and walk next to you with and without a leash. This young lady is very eager to learn and please, so training is easy. She has been microshipped, spayed, and updated on her vaccines. Her temperment is amazing. She is so sweet and loving. Sometimes she thinks she is a 5 lbs chihuahua and thinks that crawling on your lap is no problem! She will do anything for some affection. She gets along very well with other dogs and has shown to be submissive to not cause any conflict. We have brought her to gatherings were she interacted great with other dogs - both big and small. We keep her indoors and she goes out to play. During the day when nobody is home, she stays in a larger crate and does great!

If Maiya sounds like the perfect companion for you and your family, please email us and we will send you an adoption application. We want to make sure that she goes to a fabulous home where she recieves the proper care and attention she deserves. She will do very well with other dogs and would be a great friend for a family who already has a dog.
